Salalift® II Winch

• Easy Operation; the Salalift® II is manually operated, simply rotate the handle to raise or lower personnel or materials. Gear ratio is 6:1 with an average lifting speed of 12.75 ft/min. (no power source is required)
• 60 ft. of 1/4" galvanized steel cable complete with carrying bag (60, 90 and 120 ft. lengths available in galvanized or stainless steel)
• Lightweight Design; 35 to 37 lbs. depending upon model for ease of use
• Quick-Mount System; incorporates a quick-mount bracket which mates with a bracket on all DBI/SALA support structures allowing the user to attach/detach device with a detent pin and makes retrofitting easy (no additional hardware needed)
• Free-Wheel Mode; an operator activated free wheel mode allows the drum to rotate and cable to pay-out freely as the attached worker descends or moves about (handle remains stationary)
• Built-In Fall Protection; The free-wheel mode has a built-in overspeed brake with energy absorbing capacity (similar to self retracting lifelines) which provides secondary fall protection and added security
• Overload Clutch; a built-in overload clutch automatically slips to prevent severe overloading or damage, it also helps prevent injury to entangled personnel during raising operations
• Housing Cover; constructed from a durable medium density polyethylene with a built-in ergonomic carrying handle. This housing material reduces weight and will not dent or corrode like metal housings
• Corrosion Resistant; complete with anodized aluminum side plates, zinc plated gears and shafts, stainless steel springs and aluminum drum for superior corrosion resistance
• Level Wind; the drum level wind mechanism aids in spooling the cable onto the drum evenly and prevents slack line
• Safety Hook; the swiveling self locking snap hook provides secure connection to the load and prevents the cable from twisting for smoother operation. Complete with impact indicator enabling user to visually check to see if device has been impact loaded
• Reserve Lifeline System; allows brake to activate and absorb energy if fall occurs at the end of the lifeline travel
• Meets or exceeds all industry regulations including OSHA and ANSI

Sealed Self Retracting Lifeline:

• Sealed self retracting lifeline with stainless steel and cast aluminum housing for corrosion resistance
• 50 ft. 3/16" galvanized steel wire rope for durability (50, 85 and 130 ft. lengths in galvanized or stainless steel is available)
• Built in retrieval winch for raising/lowering load during emergencies with built-in shock absorbing capabilities (fall arrest capabilities in retrieval mode for added safety)
• Input crank handle incorporates brake which will prevent movement of the load if the operator accidentally released the handle during raising/lowering.
• Winch drive incorporates and overload device thus reducing the possibility of injury should the worker become entangled during retrieval
• Environmentally sealed design for safety, even in harsh environments
• Self adjusting disc brake for reliability
• Reserve lifeline retention system for added safety
• Self-locking swivel snap hook with impact indicator
• Swiveling anchorage loop to prevent twisting of lifeline
• Quick-mount bracket (model 3401065) enables user to attach to a DBI/SALA support structure with ease and carrying bag (model 9503515)
• Meets or exceeds all applicable industry standards including OSHA, ANSI and the stringent ANSI Z 359

Tripod:

• 7 ft. aluminum tripod is lightweight and portable, easily set-up by one worker and can be transported from one location to another just as easy (model 8000010 is 9 ft. tall)
• Adjustable locking legs adjust quickly in increments of 2-3/4" for added versatility and are kept in position with locking push pins - adjusts from 5 ft. to 7 ft. height and will span a 5 ft. diameter hole
• Complete with safety chain to prevent movement and safety shoes that incorporate a rubber sole for flat surfaces and spiked edges for slippery surfaces
• Heat treated cast aluminum head incorporates a built-in pulley system to rout lifeline of mechanical device directly over opening. Also equipped with drop forged steel eyebolts for use as anchorage point for secondary or back-up system, designed to allow the eyebolt to hand plumb regardless of surface configuration
• Complete with quick-mount bracket for attachment of DBI/SALA mechanical device for ease of use
• Additional (back-up) mechanical devices can be mounted to tripod with optional bracket/pulleys
• Rated working load is 350 lbs. for work support and 310 lbs. for fall arrest, can withstand up to 5,000 lbs. of vertical pull
• Durable corrosion resistant aluminum and heat treated cast aluminum construction
• Underwriters Laboratories tested and classified
• Meets or exceeds the strength requirements for anchorage's (5,000 lbs.), ANSI Z359.1, ANSI A10.14 and OSHA requirements
